Svensmark: “global warming stopped and a cooling is beginning” – “enjoy global warming while it lasts”

Pretty provocative Title to the post, but then this is an interesting topic.

I am a huge defender of the environment and keeping it clean. We are expected to be good stewards of this earth which God created. And so, my family recycles and tries to conserve our use of fossil fuels and water and to ensure we do our best to not unduly pollute the environment we live in.

The debate wages on between Al Gore and the Global Warming crowd and the Rush Limbaugh junk science crowd. Probably, the truth is somewhere between the two opposite ends of the debate. Is there compelling evidence of warming? Tell a polar with too little ice to survive, or the retreating glaciers in the Alps that our environment has not moderated in recent years. The question seems to be "how little or significant is the human influence on the moderation?"

Now Danish scientist Henrik Svensmark has published "While the Sun Sleeps" explaining that our sun is entering a new period of "grand minimum" similar to that which occured during the "Little Ice Age."

Who knows who is correct? I guess we will just have to sit back and see if we continue to warm and eventually have beach front property in Atlanta and Dallas, or will we see the return of snow measured in feet instead of inches in the lower Midwest states.
